The refurbishment of the period home, the Tivoli Road Residence, designed by BayleyWard Architecture, involved combining the old with the new, seamlessly integrating new architectural elements into the historic building.
Located in South Yarra, Melbourne, the home uses natural materials, including timber and stone that provide a sense of balance to the project, complementing and highlighting the home’s existing period features. Further adding to this balance is the colour palette that is both restrained and sophisticated.
Tongue n Groove solid engineered European oak floorboards in the Ardesia colour, Eterno classic wire-brushed finish and Grande format feature throughout, including the stairs, complementing the elegant interior. For added visual interest, a custom pattern is used on the flooring. With a soft grey wash and warm undertones, Ardesia is perfect for creating a calming effect in a contemporary environment.
