Griffiths Teas Apartment
The Griffiths Teas Apartment by PopovBass Architects showcases a modern warehouse conversion that retains many original features of the heritage building. The apartment is one of thirty-eight luxury apartments within the Griffiths Teas building, a Sydney landmark that was a former tea warehouse and garment factory, which closed during the 1970s.
Like all the apartments in the building, it retains a lot of the original materials, including structural timber beams, timber ceilings, raw brickwork and sash windows that bring extensive sunlight into the interior. Modern fixtures, fittings and appliances are juxtaposed with these original elements to create a warm and welcoming home that is filled with character.
Tongue n Groove solid engineered European oak floorboards in the Otta colour, Eterno classic wire-brushed finish and Grande format feature throughout, complementing the interior design scheme. With its dark pewter grey tones and brown undertones, Otta is a unique colour that works in a range of environments, such as this stylish apartment.
